I lost a dear friend to cancer, both my parents are cancer survivors and my 95 year-old grandmother is a breast cancer survivor. I know how devastating cancer can be. I also know how it feels to worry about your cancer risk. But there is good news – REALLY good news. We now have decades of research that show the power of plant-based foods to fight cancer.
Most deaths in the United States are preventable – and related to nutrition. This is the leading sentence in a landmark 2013 study by Boston University Medical Center. Another recent study, the “Global Burden of Disease Study” – considered one of the most rigorous analyses of risk factors every published – determined that the #1 cause of death in the United States is “dietary risks” now killing more people each year than cigarette smoking.
Unfortunately, most doctors – including oncologists – receive less than 20-hours of nutrition education through their entire medical training. Which means that your health really is in your own hands.

Thrive! with Plant-Powered Nutrition is a six-week, evidence-based, online course that walks you through everything you need to know and do to embrace a whole-food, plant-based diet including meal plans, templates, checklists, activities and more. Each week you will receive a video-based lesson (approx. 45 minutes) with accompanying materials to make it simple, easy and fun to make the incremental changes that will have a big impact.
You will be invited to become part of a vibrant and positive community who come together to support each other and learn about plant-based nutrition and what it can do to enhance your body’s ability to fight cancer.

I consider myself lucky.
